Bomb threats false

Two bomb threats called in approximately seven minutes apart forced the short evacuation of two area businesses last Saturday.
According to Madison Police Department reports, a man called the Huddle House restaurant, located at the Pilot Truck Stop on Eatonton Road, at approximately 9:26 p.m. and alleged that “there is a bomb in the building. Would you like me to push the detonator?”
At 9:33 p.m. a similar call was made to the Cracker Barrel restaurant, also on Eatonton Road.
Reports state that employees answering the calls said the caller sounded Caucasian and middle-aged.
Both the Huddle House and Cracker Barrel were evacuated.
Officers from the Madison Police Department, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol all responded to the threats.
A bomb detection dog from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office was used to sweep both restaurants and the truck stop area.
No bombs were located, reports state.
