The Greenspace Commission (GSC) had an Arbor Day Proclamation read during the Monday night meeting of the Madison Mayor and Council.
Also the GSC sponsored the Trail of Trees program at Morgan County Elementary School on Wednesday. For this event they donated Arbor Day wristbands to students who participated in that program.
The GSC planted two larger trees on the school campus and will plant a third tree at the Gilmore House on Burney Street at 11:30 a.m. Friday.
