The Resolution
I won’t look back;
God knows the fruitless efforts,
The wasted hours, the sinning, the regrets;
I’ll leave them all with Him
Who blots the record,
And mercifully forgives
And then forgets.
I won’t look forward;
God sees all the future,
The road that, short or long,
Will lead me home,
And He will face with me
Its every trial,
And bear with me the burden
That may come.
But I’ll look up-
Into the face of Jesus,
For there my heart can rest,
My fears are stilled;
And there is joy and love,
And light for darkness,
And perfect peace,
And every hope fulfilled.
Hope our readers enjoy this, a lot of them ask for poems from time to time.
On Sunday morning our church was full, many visitors were present, and we pray they received a blessing by coming and will come again as God leads.
Our specials in songs were "Not In A Million Years" and "He Did It All" by Johnny BoBo and Denny Pickett. Bro. Jeff’s message, "Stand Up For the Gospel," was taken from Philippians 3: 1-11. Paul said to beware of the corruption, false circumcision, dogs and evil workers adding stuff to gospel. Paul said the true church circumcision has three characteristics: worship by the Holy Spirit, boast about what Christ has done for us, and put no confidence in the flesh. Paul stood for Jesus, he applied and attained himself for Jesus, and he knew knowing Jesus outweighs all bad. He knew he had been redeemed, he was submitted to Lordship of Jesus Christ and had a genuine experience with Jesus that can’t be lost. Paul had resurrection power living in him, he said it was a privilege to suffer. Believers today must have an accurate understanding of the gospel as presented in scripture. God initiated relationship with us; it’s Christ’s birth, life, death, burial and resurrection. Believers must be willing to call false teaching heresy.
On Sunday night at 6 p.m. a good attendance was present. Bro. Jeff’s message was "Faithfulness of God" from Deut. 7: 9, Heb. 10: 23 and other scriptures. God is faithful to His people and promises. God is sovereign, He knows all, nothing catches Him by surprise, He’s merciful, His promises are for those who love Him and keep His commandments. God spells love through time, and obedience is the key that unlocks God’s promises. God wants us to do for Him out of Love; we have access to God’s promises through Jesus for God’s glory. He said He would provide a way of escape from temptation, promises a way out. God is faithful and just to forgive us, has unconditional love, nothing can separate us from the love of God. He is perfect, holy and can’t tolerate sin, and He promises everlasting life. We thank God for a beautiful day, and we invite anyone that does not have a regular church home to come wor
ship with us anytime we have service. You’re always welcome.
