Mat Dog seniors shine

The Mat Dogs took care of business on Senior Night Thursday, defeating Greene and Banks in their final home matches of the regular season.
Morgan County dominated both matches, beating Banks 66-9 and Greene 53-6.
"It was a great night for our seniors," said Mat Dogs Head Coach John Robbins. "They really looked good in front of a great home crowd."
The wins improved the team's overall dual record to an impressive 20-3.
Four of the five wrestlers that picked up two wins on the night were seniors. They were Kody Vaughters, Austin Sharp, Nick Childers and Wes East. Jacob Akins also went 2-0.
Other wrestlers picking up wins were Dusty Mines, Mack McKenzie, Jared Rector, Kyle Palmer, Howard Childers, Ryan Childers, Brandon Rivers and Stiara Mathis.
The majority of wrestlers picking up just one win only competed in one match on the evening.
Zach Yost didn't wrestle Thursday, as he was recovering from a recent injury.
The team competed Wednesday, February 6 at Marist. They travel to Vidalia this weekend to compete in the Sweet Onion Invitational. The following week they will prepare for the area tournament which takes place the following weekend.
