In their first season

In their first season, Head Coach Pam Turner has set high goals for the Lady Dogs golf program.

Turner helped start a team at Baldwin County High School, where she worked prior to Morgan County High School. Although the team is made up of only two lady golfers, this is enough to field a team and Turner is looking for a "strong showing" in the region.

"We are just feeling it out right now and are hoping to make a good showing," said Turner.

Lynn Laseter is aiming for the Region 7—AA gold medal honor this season and may very well do so as she averages in the low 90s at Hard Labor Creek. Laseter joined her father when she was younger on his weekend "Dog Fights" until she was old enough to play in the event. Laseter is joined by freshman Amanda Poland, who shoots just over 100 at Hard Labor and is hoping to get under that by the season’s end. Poland is a relative newcomer, working on only her second year consistently playing the sport.

The Lady Dogs’ first game is March 3 as they take on Madison County. The match will start at 4 p.m.
