Shawanda Simmons originally thought she would never even drive through the neighborhood now called Madison Woods. "I knew it used to be kind of bad...but it was very quiet and there were a lot of kids playing-that was a plus," she said. Now she and her family live in the neighborhood and she is very pleased with the community she once feared but now calls home.
