Lady Pups not enough for Oconee

The Morgan County Middle School Lady Pups soccer team hosted a tough Oconee Middle squad and fell behind early, eventually falling 6-0.
Lady Pups Head Coach Katie Greenway said her team struggled through most of the first half but said she was pleased with the way her team looked in the second half.
"The girls were making precise passes and using each other for help and support," Greenway said of the second half where Griffin Gardner had two shots on goal in the first five minutes.
"In the first half our girls were running more than they needed to because they were not playing their positions," Greenway said. "We learned several fundamental lessons about the importance of ball skills."
The team stays in Madison Wednesday when they host Oglethorpe. They host Athens Academy on Wednesday, April 2.
