“I just heard on the news, it will get colder before it gets warmer”

By Willie Ann Johnson

What a beautiful resurrection Sunday. Some of our members attended the sunrise service that was held in the Rutledge City Park. I just heard on the news it will get colder before it gets warmer. I’ll thank God for the rain, cold or snow whatever He sends there is nothing we can do about it anyway because He’s in control of this whole wide world.
On Sunday, which was Easter Sunday at the Springs, we also celebrated Women’s Day and our speaker was our First Lady Sis. Toni Terrell. She did a wonderful job. Also our chanters for God’s word and our Dancers of Praise. We thank the Lord for all of His blessings.
For the weekend our children came and attended church. We are always glad to have them home visiting with us.
The Spring’s family wishes Bro. Delone Terrell a speedy recovery. He had surgery on Friday.
Remember you are always welcome to the Springs where strangers meet friends and sinners meet Christ.
Condolences go out to Sis. Willie Ann Mathis in the death of her sister Patricia Worrell. Sis. Mathis is one of our faithful members. Members of USBC attended her going home service on Saturday at Cornerstone Church here in Madison.
No one gave me news but I did see some visitors at church Sunday with some of our members. Your news, coming and going, is welcome for me to put it in the paper but you have to give it to me because I can only put in what I know.
Last week I omitted Evangelist Lizzie Stokes’ name. She is in charge of bringing the words of inspiration to the patients at the nursing home. Sorry about that evangelist but God has got it on his record. Thank you Lord.
Happy belated Easter to all of my readers. Continue to let Jesus live within your heart and to those who don’t know Him let Him enter into your heart. You will never be the same again. Thank you Jesus.
Keep all the sick and shut-ins in your thoughts and prayers.
Thought for the Week – “The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and His ears are open unto their cry.” Psalms 34: 15
