“Thanking God for a rainy day in Georgia”

By Willie Ann Johnson

Praise God the bad weather by passed us on Friday night except for the rain we are having today Saturday. We thank God for a rainy day in Georgia. The weather is so uncertain these days. I guess Blackberry winter is coming or has gone. I see the blackberry vines are blooming, its God’s winter not our saying.
My granddaughter      Mone't is out of school for Spring break this week and she is spending a few days with me and Tommy and also JaNaya. We are glad to have them here. She’ll be in college soon; times goes by so fast we must spend as much time as we can with our children and grands they are a gift from God to us. (Thank you Lord).
On Sunday we had a great time. We baptized four that were burying all their sins and coming up as new creatures in God.
Prophet Collins was also re-baptized for the Lord came to him one night after he had been in revival for several weeks. Praise God for a second dip in His water. Just before baptizing Pastor T came from the gospel of Mark 8 chapter verses 23, 24 and 25; call to worship, “Second Touch”, God is a God of second chances. Praise the Lord.
Our pre-deacons led us in devotion and praise team and mass choir rendered the music. Our pastor’s text came from 1 Timothy 2: 1-2, “Asking God to heal the land.” First God said for all of us to pray for all people. As you make your requests plead God’s mercy upon them and give thanks. Pray this way for all leaders and others who are in authority and looking to be in authority so that we can live in peace and quiteness and godliness. If we are without a job and do not know where the next meal will come from that’s the reason He says pray for all people and leaders this will be good and pleasing to God because only God can heal the land that he gave His life to purchase freedom for everyone; for this is the message that God gave to the world at the proper time. As a preacher and apostle to teach the Gentiles about faith and truth.  So whenever you pray lift up holy hands to God free from anger. He also said in 2 Chronicles 7: 14, If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn, not half way but all the way from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land. We got lots of work to do before the land can be healed but knowing we can do all things through Christ who strengthen us. And let us be ready when asking God to heal the land. Thank you Lord because our land is in need of healing to put people back to work etc.
