Chorus students set to perform in Austria

Morgan County High School chorus director, Steve DeLaigle and six members of his chorus will be traveling to Austria to perform in the 33rd Annual Classical Music Festival in Eisenstadt, Austria. The group has been preparing six months for this 16-day tour which begins on July 30. The tour includes travel to Eisenstadt, Vienna, Austria and Budapest, Hungary. MCHS is honored to be the only high school participating in the festival. The students will be performing two Latin masses by Beethoven and Joseph Haydn with collegiate and professional musicians from all over the world at the Esterhazy Palace in Eisenstadt. A highlight of the tour will be performing Sunday Mass in St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna. The talented group includes Daniela Belton, Emily DeJarnett, Annabeth Spence, Shelby McLeod, and Grace and Robert Prior.
