Behind a tough defense and quick strike offense, the Morgan County Middle School Bullpups blasted pass Social Circle Middle School last week with 20-0 victory.

The Pups are tied with three other teams, Greene County, Youth and Carver, for first place in the Piedmont Athletic Conference. All teams have just one loss on the season.

Greene County was scheduled to  make the trip across county lines for a showdown with the Pups on Wednesday.

Head Coach Stacy Webb said, “It is a battle for first place right now. We have to focus and play smart football”

Webb, commenting on the game with Social Circle, said, “We played well last week. We hit well, the defense played storng and the offense played strong.

Our kicking team played well this week, and we will need that in the playoffs.”

The final game of the season is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15 at Youth Milddle School.
