Superior Court takes criminal court pleas

Staff Reports

    The following cases were processed in Morgan County Superior Court last week.
    • Clindray Harris, 28, Rutledge, pled guilty to one count possession of cocaine and three counts of obstruction of an officer. He was ordered to serve seven years with no probation.
    • Thomas Newman, 25, Rutledge, pled guilty to one count criminal damage to property and one count terroristic threats. He received a seven-year sentence to be served on probation with 12 months intensive probation and a $1,000 file.
    • Howard Sewell Jr., 27, Madison, pled guilty to four counts sale of cocaine. He received a 30-year sentence with 15 to serve and then remainder to be served on probation. Sewell also pled guilty to one count possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and one count obstruction of an officer. For those charges he received a 30-year sentence with 15 years to serve to run concurrently with any other sentences. He also received a $1,000 fine.
    • Lamar Little, 29, Mobile, Ala., pled guilty to one count possession of cocaine, one count possession of marijuana, one count driving while license suspended. He received a 10-year sentence with 10 days to serve and the remainder to be served on probation. He was also fined $1,000.
    • Terrance Lamar Adams, 22, Madison, pled guilty to one count possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and one count possession of marijuana. He received a 20-year sentence with 10-years to serve and the remainder on probation and a $1,000 fine.
    • Gregory Lawrence, Buckhead, pled guilty to one count possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, one count possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He received a 30-year sentence with 15 to serve     and the remainder on probation and a $1,000 fine.
    • Luis Gonzales, 39, Euless, Texas pled guilty to one count trafficking in marijuana. He received a 20-year sentence with 10 years to serve and the remainder on probation and a $3,000 fine.
    • Rico Lamar Mosley, 29, Madison, pled guilty to one count sale of cocaine. He received a five-year sentence.
    • Bruce Hicks, 27, Madison, pled guilty to one count burglary. He received a five-year sentence.
    • Derrick Duane Binion, 42, Madison, pled guilty to one misdemeanor count obstruction of an officer. He received a 12-month sentence to be served on probation and a $300 fine.
    • Joe Wheeler Brown, 39, Conyers, pled guilty to one count possession of methamphetamine and one count theft by taking. He received a five-year sentence to be served on probation and a $1,000 fine.
    • Deltron Tuggle, 32, Monroe, pled guilty to one count furnishing alcohol to an underage person. He received a 12-month sentence to be served on probation and a $200 fine.
    • Deanaruis Corey Carter, 21, Madison, pled guilty to one count possession of marijuana. He received a 12-month sentence to be served on probation and a $400 fine.
    • Eric Dewayne Lynwood, 39, Eatonton, pled guilty to one count DUI. He received a 12-month sentence with 24 hours to serve and the remainder to be served on probation and was fined $1,000 and ordered to complete DUI Risk Reduction and complete a clinical evaluation and any recommended treatment.
    • Vantineus McClendon, 26, Eatonton, pled guilty to one count giving a false name to an officer, one count giving false date of birth to an officer and one count driving while license suspended. He received a 12-month sentence to be served on probation and a $200 fine.
    • Candace Wade, 24, Madison, pled guilty to one count sale of cocaine. She received a five-year sentence to be served on probation, a $1,000 fine and ordered to complete drug and alcohol evaluation and / or treatment.
    • Jonathan Hudson, 20, Warm Springs, pled guilty to speeding. He received a six-month sentence to be served on probation and a $337 fine.
    • Andre Heard, 30, Mansfield pled guilty to one count trafficking in cocaine, one count tampering with evidence, one count obstruction of an officer. He received a 25-year sentence with 13 years to serve and the remainder to be served on probation and was fined $200,000.
    • Marcus C. Brinkley, 33, Eatonton, pled guilty to one count possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, one count driving while license suspended. He received a five-year sentence to be served on probation and a $1,000 fine.
    • Trent Coats, 18, Madison, pled guilty to one count burglary and one count criminal damage to property in the second degree. He received a 10-year sentence with three years to serve and was ordered to complete anger management counseling.
    • Ricky Fitch, 37, Madison, pled guilty to one count robbery by sudden snatching. He received a 10-year sentence with six years to serve and the remainder to be served on probation and a $1,000 fine.
    • Ridarius R. Canteen, 18, Buckhead, pled guilty to two counts aggravated assault, one count battery, four counts cruelty to children and three counts terroristic threats. He received a 10-year sentence with three to serve and the remainder to be served on probation, was fined $1,000 and ordered to complete a domestic violence intervention program and have no contact with the victim or the victim’s family.
    • Willie Robert Brooks Jr., 40, Madison, was found guilty on one count theft by taking and one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He received a 10-year sentence. Brooks also pled guilty to a misdemeanor count of theft by taking and received a 12-month sentence to run concurrent with any other sentences.
    • Jermaine Wynn, 28, Madison, pled guilty to one count possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and one count possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He received a 25-year sentence with 10-years to serve and the remainder to be served on probation and a $1,500 fine.
    • Curtis D. Robinson, 28, Madison, pled guilty to two counts obstruction of an officer, one count fleeing and attempting to elude an officer and one count possession of marijuana. He received a five-year sentence to be served on probation and a $1,000 fine.
    • Robin D. Betsil, 44, Forest Park, pled guilty to one count theft by taking and one count criminal damage to property. She received a five-year sentence to be served on probation and a $1,000 fine.
    • Eric M. Carter, 25, Lyndale, pled guilty to one count theft by taking and three counts financial transaction card theft. He received a five-year sentence with one year to serve and the remainder to be served on probation. He was also ordered to pay restitution of $1, 249.
    • D’Angelo Warren, 34, Bostwick, pled guilty to one count DUI. He received a 12-month sentence with 24 hours to serve and the remainder to be served on probation, a $500 fine and ordered to complete a DUI risk reduction course.
    • Dale Randolph Knight, 47, Madison, pled guilty to one count DUI. He received a 12-month sentence with 24 hours to serve and the remainder to be served on probation, 64 hours of community service, a $500 fine and ordered to complete DUI risk reduction course.
    • Marcus Dion Reid, 33, Madison, pled guilty to one count sale of cocaine. He received a 10-year sentence with five years to serve and the remainder to be served on probation, a $1,000 fine and order to turn himself into the Morgan County Jail by October 14.
    • David DuPree, III, 32, Columbia, S.C., pled guilty to one count trafficking in cocaine and one count possession of marijuana. He received a 30-year sentence with 12 years to serve and the remainder to be served on probation and a $3,000 fine.
    • Stephen Oscar Allen, 28, Madison, pled guilty to one count possession of cocaine. He received five years probation and a $1,000 fine.
    • Tavarus D. Waller, 27, Lithonia, pled guilty to one count theft by shoplifting. He received a 10-year sentence with four years to serve and the remainder to be served on probation, a $1,000 fine and was banished from Morgan County.
    • Trenton Coats, 18, Madison, pled guilty to one count possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, one count possession of cocaine with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school and one count possession of cocaine with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of public housing. He received a 10-year sentence with three years to serve and the remainder to be served on probation and a $1,000 fine.
    • Beason Franklin, 20, Bostwick, pled guilty to one count possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, one count possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school and one count obstruction of an officer. He received a 10-year sentence with five years to serve and the remainder to be served on probation, 200 hours of community service and a $1,000 fine.
    • Quadatius J. Martin, 19, Chamblee, pled guilty to one count armed robbery, two counts aggravated assault. He received a 20-year sentence with 10 years to serve and the remainder to be served on probation, ordered to pay $630 restitution and fined $1,000.
    • Antwoion D. Strickland, 20, Decatur, pled guilty to one count armed robbery, two counts aggravated assault and one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He received a 20-year sentence with 15 years to serve and the remainder to be served on probation, ordered to pay $630 in restitution and fined $1,000.
    • Christopher Little, 32, Bostwick, pled guilty to two counts burglary and two counts theft by taking. He received a 10-year sentence to be served on probation, was ordered to serve 210 to 240 days in a detention center and fined $1,000.
    • Carl Tyler, 20, Lithonia, pled guilty to one count criminal damage to property, one count interference with government property, three counts obstruction of an officer, one count speeding, one count driving while license suspended, one count reckless driving. He received a 10-year sentence with three years to serve and the remainder to be served on probation and was fined $1,000 and ordered to pay restitution of $283.
    • Terrance Lamar Adams, 21, Madison, pled guilty to one count possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, one count possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, one count distribution of a controlled substance within a drug free commercial zone. He received a 20-year sentence with 10 years to serve and the remainder to be served on probation and a $1,000 fine.
    • Tashi Chester, 22, Madison, pled guilty to one count possession of cocaine, one count possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and one count distribution of a controlled substance in a commercial drug free zone. She received a 10-year sentence with five years to serve and the remainder to be served on probation and was fined $1,000.
    • Ricky Fitch, 37, Madison, pled guilty to one count possession of cocaine. He received a 10-year sentence with six years to serve and the remainder to be served on probation.
    • Gregory Lawrence, 29, Madison, pled guilty to one count possession of cocaine and one count possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute. He received a five-year sentence. In a separate matter Lawrence also pled guilty to one count obstruction of an officer. He received a five-year sentence to run concurrent with any other sentences.
