Hear that? It’s yoga music to my ears! No more I-approved-this-message this and I- approved-this-message that. No more robo calls! No more he’s pro-pork spendin’ and she ain’t! Honey by the time you read this column the elections will be over! Ding dang! This calls for an epoch-level psychedelic tune! Attention all residents of planet earth! Let’s celebrate! Momma! Get out those swirly fun 70s part-pants-part-skirt combos and peace- sign earrings! Perf! Maestro of the universe, send us the most cosmic of the Cosmo music! Tap your feet to the beat! “When the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars then peace shall guide the planet and love will steer the stars! This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius!” Yeah! We’ve done rotated the 30 degree arc into brand spakin’ new space/time energy! Wow!
Ok so the dawnin’ of a new age can only mean one thing! It’s time to shop y’all! Yeah! Let’s go!
The best place to celebrate this week is Lilywind Kids located at 206 West Washington Street in Madison next to the James-Madison Inn! Owner Henri Moon wanted me to invite all y’all out to celebrate Lilywind’s one year anniversary on November 6, 7 and 8 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and get great discount and door prize drawings! Anyway, Lilywind Kids has accessories and gifts for tots to teens! I just popped in there to check it out and its Wow-Cool especially since 70 percent of the merchandise in the store is handmade – much of it by Henri! Ok so they have hand-painted Christmas tree ornaments by Mary Sue Alexander of Rutledge that are fabulous! Oh. My. Gosh! These minky dot pillow cases are the softest! I’ve gotta have one just for me. Henri says they are a big hit for birthday gifts! I mean there’s so much to choose from . . . bath wraps, ribbons, bibs, aprons, stick horses, handmade wooden piggy banks in the shape of a lion, giraffe or fire truck, all kinds of University of Georgia stuff and then some! Oh and Henri wanted me to tell y’all that Santa will be at Lilywind Kids on Saturday, December 6 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. for pictures! The first 5X7 is FREE! Y’all check it out!
Oh and those cute boys who own O’Hara’s Restaurant (Steve Hesson and Robert Richardson) located at 133 South Main Street in downtown Madison wanted me to tell y’all some foodie news! Local guest Chef Ron Mastrogiovanni is comin’ back on Wednesday, November 12 for an Italian banquet fit for a king! Lord have mercy! Honey, I can’t wait! My handsome husband took me to Chef Ron’s first appearance and it was delicious + fun! Ok so Chef Ron and Chef Robert are gonna cook up a Vegetable Lasagna, Chicken Murphy (sautéed chicken in white wine, butter and other yummy things I can’t remember served over pasta), and apple and pear tarts! Yum! Boys! Sign me up! Oh and if that’s not enough celebratin’, plan on headin’ to O’Hara’s November 20 for a fabulous Fall Wine Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Hotdiggitydangdog! Anyway, seating is limited so y’all call those boys today at 706-343-1123 and make your reservation to both events immediately! Tell ‘em the Buzz sent ya!
The celebratin’ just don’t ever stop here in Morgan County ‘cause Lyn Hunt says Godfry Cox turns 10 years old this month and honey they are gonna celebrate that 10th anniversary from now until the end of the year! Ok so Godfry Cox is located at 127 South Main right smack near to O’Hara’s and it just have everything a home and a girl could ever want in a million years! And to celebrate this big occasion, the shop is gonna host a series of events like Ten Year Tuesdays startin’ next week when you get to draw for 5, 10, or 15 percent off any purchase of $50 or more (excludin’ sales items). Lyn says they flat have a whole entire calendar of special events! Oh and she says they have some new product lines like Crabtree & Evelyn and they’ve brought back Lady Primrose by popular demand! Oh and that Caldrea environmentally sound homecare line is oh so fab! I mean you can find fabulous pottery, linens, candles, pjs, sweaters and these out-of-this-world fantastic scented tassels! Lyn says they’re gonna be changin’ it all up all the time! Y’all head over there today and check it out and keep lookin’ for more intel on Godfry Cox special events in this newspaper!
