Mat Dogs primed for region competition
Morgan enters mid-season swing

With the 2008-2009 season reaching its mid-point, the Morgan County Mat Dogs, headed up by third year head coach John Robbins, find themselves primed for second half action, and the bulk of their region competition.
Only one meet is remaining until the Area 8-AAA Duals, and the Dogs sit at 18-4 on the season, with finishes of second, fourth and third place in tournaments entered thus far.
“We have really improved from the beginning of the season,” Robbins said. “With our determination and work ethic this year, I think we will suprise a lot of people when we hit the region competions.”
Below is a look at some of the individuals, and their season statistics and records to this point, that will play key roles in helping the Mat Dogs succeed in region 8-AAA competition, something Morgan County althletes have struggled with thus far.
