Dorothy “Jean” Weaver, 51, died December 27, 2008. She was born February 23, 1957 in Greensboro. Her father, Willie D. Campbell who died April 2008, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Charlie Lee Weaver; two daughters, Monica and baby girl, Monique; two sons, Charlie V. (Dana) and Cedric; six grandchildren, her mother, Virginia Campbell, sister, Virginia Ann; brothers, Willie, Michael, Billy, Richard (Katrina), Greg (Rita) and Reginald Glenn; and a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones in Madison and Philadelphia.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 3 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Hoke L. Smith, Pastor, Eulogist and assisted by Rev. Michael A. Ross Sr., Evangelist Deborah Massey, Rev. James A. Braswell and Rev. Aaron Carter Sr. Interment was in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Buckhead.
Serving as pallbearers were Morris Edwards, Aaron Carter Jr., Ramon Jones, Leonard Edwards Jr., Orlando Green and Bryon Jones. Flower girls were members of the Class of 1975.
Mapp-Gilmore Pyramid Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
