Rene Christmas, 58, of Madison, died January 10, 2009 at Athens Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Thelma S. Herrin. She loved traveling to the mountains and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Christmas of Madison; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri and Jerry Richards of Conyers, Tracey and Scott Silvers, Kim Hudgins and Misty and Lewis McDaniel all of Madison, Brandy Christmas of Tennessee; sons, Michael David Marshall and Larry Christmas Jr., both of Madison; 17 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters and five brothers.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, January 13 at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington.
