Larry John Hill, 57, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Morgan Memorial Hospital in Madison. He was born in Morgan County on September 27, 1951 the son of the late Mary Ella Hill Copenny. He is survived by a daughter, Felicia Hill Fulton (Ernest), two step-daughters, Pamela Cummings and Donna Reid (Tyrone), all of Morgan County; two step-sons, Michael Reid (Kim) and Roosevelt Reid Jr. (Donna), both of Greensboro; two sisters, Carolyn M. Payne (Delano) of Elizabeth, New Jersey and Amy H. Harrison (Arnold Sr.) of Augusta; one brother, Clarence Hill of Plainfield, New Jersey; one uncle, Harold Hill Sr. of Detroit, Michigan, 13 grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews, a devoted friend, Hattie M. Laborn, 11 half-sisters and two half-brothers. One half-brother preceded him in death.

    Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 16 at Plainview Baptist Church with Rev. W. J. Reid and Rev. James S. Wymbs officiating.

    Interment was in Hill Family Cemetery on Lions Club Road in Madison.

    Flower girls were Louette Elder and his nieces. Pallbearers were Clarence White, James White Jr., Peter White, Robert Hawkins, Michael Reid, Roosevelt Reid, Eddie Winder, Lee Thomas and Willie C. Winder.

    Mapp-Gilmore Pyramid Funeral Service, LLC was in charge of arrangements.
