Weyman Ray James Sr.
Weyman Ray James Sr., 71, of Madison died Saturday, January 17, 2009. He was born October 20, 1937 in Morgan County to William C. James Sr. and Willie Nell Narvil James. He married Patricia Barnett of Oconee County and made their home in Madison. He was retired from Hercules, Inc. in Covington. Mr. James was a member of Brownwood Baptist Church and the Madison Masonic Lodge # 376.
He was also a charter member of the Morgan County Volunteer Fire Department, Station # 2.
He is survived by his wife Patsy James and their children, Kim Mitchell of Winder and Ray James of Madison; grandchildren, Kevin and Kacie Mitchell and Ashlan and Alexis James; brothers, Charles James and Jimmy (Robin) James; sisters, Ellen (James Harold) Smith and Brenda (John) McAdams; a brother-in-law, Keith Barnett; and sisters-in-law, Kathy (Tim) Peacock and Glenda Cunningham. His brother Donald James preceded him in death.
Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 20 in the Chapel at A. E. Carter Funeral Home. Interment was in Madison Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Mary’s Hospice, 1600 Jennings Mill Road, Bogart, GA 30622 or to Brownwood Baptist Church, 1521 Thankful Road, Madison, GA 30650.
