Charles Ronald Durance “Ronnie”, 61, of Shady Dale died Saturday, January 24, 2009. He was born February 23, 1947 in Morgan County to Alfred and Cecile Hamlin Durance. He was a house painter and loved his work. He also enjoyed animals especially caring for strays.
Mr. Durance is survived by his mother, Cecile Durance, girlfriend, Cherie Randall, two children, Ronnie Durance and Johnny Durance; his siblings Jerry Durance, Larry Durance, Betty Scral, Barbara Durance and Kathy Brewer; grandchildren, Alex, Morgan, Robin, Jimmy and Jarid Gordon.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, at Antioch Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
A. E. Carter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
