I mean those ding dang dandy Wall Street bankers got ‘em enough of our tax money in outrageous salaries, bonuses, jets and fancy dance office furniture to catch a wet, brick barn on fire! Talk ‘bout an outhouse breeze! Momma! Who in the Sam Hill are you callin’? Lord have mercy! She’s callin’ New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg! Hold on y’all while I listen in.  Well I reckon Michael wasn’t too happy ‘bout Momma’s suggestion to rename Wall Street to Bail Out Boulevard!

Shasta! Can’t we think ‘bout somethin’ else? Yay! It looks like local businessman Mike Hutchins has the right idea! He’s hostin’ an Anti-Recession Party on Thursday, February 12 and he wants the whole ding dang town to come from 1 p.m. until dark! Ok here’s the deal, the Anti-Recession Bash is gonna take place at North Main Village (The Old Pig Building) located at 311 North Main Street in Madison! There are gonna be tours of Mike’s properties at North Main Village and The Ice House and more, activities for kids, great food and even a scavenger hunt with super-fantastic prizes donated by local businesses! Honey, this party is so popular some 20 other companies and individuals are participatin’ with Mike! This is gearin’ up to be the Party of the Year y’all! Oh I’ve got the best idea EVER! Let’s all go out and buy us a new anti-recession outfit for this fab bash! Or a new pair of anti-recession shoes or some anti-recession jewelry! Hey and I really, really need a new anti-recession cell phone! Love it! I’ll see all y’all there!

The Athens Heart Center is openin’ up a Madison office at 255 North Main Street, Ste. C, beginnin’ next week. They’re gonna start out seein’ patients each Monday! Honey  your Valentine had best show you the money on Saturday, February 14! And, a good way to do that is by headin’ down to Town 220 located at 220 West Washington St., in Madison Markets! Honey they are havin’ a fabulishous Valentine;s Dinner with a live jazz band! The deal is this: It’s $45 per person and you get a fantastic three-course supper!
