Lynda Faye Palmer
Mrs. Lynda Faye Palmer, 51, of Buckhead, died February 5, 2009. Mrs. Palmer was born December 26, 1957 in Graham County, N.C. to Aud and Bessie Crisp Williams. She was married to Robert Joseph Palmer, Sr. The Palmers made their home in Buckhead. Mrs. Palmer was a member of Freedom Worship Center. She worked for many years with the Morgan County School System as a paraprofessional and bus driver. She was proud of the fact that she drove a bus for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Mrs. Palmer loved her church and church family. She also enjoyed writing and singing gospel music. Mrs. Palmer loved her family and will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Palmer and two children, Scott Palmer and Robert Joseph “Joe-Joe” Palmer, Jr. and Jessica. Also surviving is her mother, Bessie Crisp Williams, and stepmother, Betty Williams, and siblings, Shelia Graham, Kathleen Williams, Irene Farley, Claudine Gibson, Loretta Marino and Jimmy Williams. She also leaves five grandchildren, Austin Stansil, Cody Stansil, T.J. Palmer, Robert Joseph “Trey” Palmer, III and Morgan Nicole Palmer.
The family received friends Saturday from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service was held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Freedom Worship Center. Rev. Wayne Powers officiated. Interment followed at the Buckhead Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rance Shuler, Rocky Burrell, Josh Davis, Jimmy Millsap, Jared Chamlee, Gerald Wheeler, David Snipes and William Townsend.
A.E. Carter Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
