Mary Evelyn Stanley Johnson, 90, died Thursday, February 12, 2009. She was born December 25, 1918 and was predeceased by her husband, Roy McCall Johnson; parents, Amanda and William Stanley, sisters, Katie Ruth Day, Anna Wylie Josephine Hamilton and Sherwood Henson.
Mrs. Johnson was formerly of Atlanta and Buford. She had lived the past five years under the loving care of Paula and Joe Ransom of Buckhead.
She is survived by Peggy and Dan DeJames, daughter and son-in-law of Miami, Florida and two grandsons, Roy and Danny DeJames, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and caring and devoted friends.
Funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 16 at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford with Rev. Jake Reed officiating. Interment followed in Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lawrenceville.
