Robert William “Pete” Malcom, 85, of Doraville died January 23, 2009. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 26 at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross. Interment followed at North Atlanta Memorial Park.
Mr. Malcom was a member of Doraville First Baptist Church. He was retired from General Motors with 30 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran from 1943 to 1945 earning four bronze stars during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Malcom.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean Malcom of Doraville; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Buddy Wasdin of Norcross; one brother, James Malcom of Madison, three sisters, Lois Brown of Doraville, Betty Edwards and Dottie Barrett, both of Madison; two grandchildren, Marcus and Polly Wasdin and Matthew Wasdin; two great-grandchildren, Bradley and Allen.
