The Buckhead Baptist Church will have a speaker for both services this upcoming Sunday, March 23. Ray Rhoades will be the speaker with "Nourished in the Word Ministries." The church would like to extend an invitation to you to attend these services. It promises to be a very good day I the Lord’s house.
Carol Hilsman has been very sick in an Athens hospital. She was most likely bitten by a Brown Recluse spider. We hope that Carol can be much better very soon. I understand that these bites from the spider can be very painful. Carol I’m sure that prayers are going up for your soon recovery.
Sara Nell and Hope Bonner went to Jacksonville over the weekend to se Justin Bonner, wife and son. Sara Nell had not seen her new great-grandson before so I know that she had a wonderful weekend.
Jo Ann Roberts had Steve and Linda Grandt from Port St. Lucie, Fla. to visit. On Friday they had a Low-Country Boil and were joined by Karen and Patrick and son from Atlanta. Steve and Linda had gone to the Internet to research for old covered bridges in Georgia. They found several and visited them. They also went to Stone Mountain where they saw goats atop the mountain. Jo Ann asked a ranger how they got the goat up there and the reply was, we didn’t take them up, they just came.
On Tuesday night this week the Buckhead Baptist Church hosted the Brotherhood dinner. John Thomas, a leader at Brownwood, was the speaker.
Steve and Jo Ann Bryant went to Gatlinburg for their anniversary. They took in a good country show and saw the aquirian there.

placed there for Gerald and Nancy Cathey’s 19th anniversary.
Margie Smith Benning and her husband Ron live at Tybee Island. Their son, Nicholas and his wife just had a new baby, a girl. Edna said that makes five great-granddaughters for the Smith.
"The Lord’s Messengers" sang at the Buckhead Baptist Church on Sunday night. I’m sure that they all enjoyed the singing very much.
I understand that Alvin Huff continues to have some good days and some bad ones. His family continues visiting him very often.
Gayle and Alex Davis and Susan and Marlin Blackburn celebrated birthdays at their parents’ house, the John Millikens.
Donna Crane is recuperating at home following surgery in Athens last week. Donna, we hope that your recovery will be short and that you’ll be back up to par very soon.
