Edward Richard “Ricky” Wilbanks, 61, of Madison died Friday, March 13, 2009 at Athens Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1947 in Morgan County to Robert Lee Wilbanks Sr. and Dorothy Schell Wilbanks. He was disabled but still enjoyed fishing and working at his computer.
Mr. Wilbanks is survived by three children, Scott Herrin, Shannon Price and Kerry Franklin; siblings, Marian Harden of Covington, Bobby Wilbanks of Porterdale, Larry Wilbanks and Joan of Commerce, Jean Stewart and Danny of Madison, Thomas Wilbanks of Madison, Darrell Wilbanks of Kannapolis, N.C. and Vicki Muzyka and Rex of Madison.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 15, in the chapel of A. E. Carter Funeral Home. Interment followed at Brownwood Baptist Church Cemetery.
A. E. Carter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
