Eugene Arnold, 70 of Monroe, died on April 4, 2009.  He was born in Jackson County on May 28, 1938 to the late Joe Mell Arnold and the late Onie Sellers Arnold.

He is survived by his wife: Dorothy Hester Arnold of Monroe; sons and daughters-in-law: Tommy and Libby Arnold of Gratis, Tim and Pam Arnold of Monroe; brother and sister-in-law: Joseph and Elaine Arnold of Athens; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Jones and the Rev. Lee Peters officiating.  Interment followed at Hill Haven Cemetery.

Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
