James P. Shampo
James P. Shampo “Jim”, 52, of Madison died Sunday, April 5, 2009. He was the son of the late James M. Shampo and Millie Edwards Shampo. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed as a truck driver for McElroy Truck Lines until his health prevented him from working any longer. As long as he was able he enjoyed woodworking and building things with his hands.
Mr. Shampo is survived by his wife, Janice W. Shampo and children, Amanda Ramey, Jeremy Shampo and Shellie Shampo; his mother, Millie Shampo’ one sister, Virginia Garland, two brothers, Timothy and David Shampo, and three grandchildren, Meggan Ramey, Dakotah Shampo and Brooke Shampo. He was preceded in death by two children, Paul Shampo and Maree Shampo, and a brother, Jackie Shampo.
The funeral service was held Wednesday, April 8 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at A. E. Carter Funeral Home. Interment followed in Madison Memorial Park.
