Saturday’s Easter Egg Hunt at Heritage Park attracted its biggest crowd in history as more than a 1,000 children and their parents descended on the Park to scoop up no less than 2,000 Easter Eggs. Three hunts were arranged by age group, when all told, they lasted about 120 seconds!
“It’s the biggest one yet,” said Chris Sides of the Morgan County Recreation Department which hosts the annual event. Sides also said the event’s success is also due to the help provided by members of the Morgan County Senior Center who volunteered their time to stuff candy in the 2,000 Easter eggs. “We took them over to the Senior Center on Monday and picked them up on Thursday,” said Sides.
