Jerry Ray Bruce
Jerry Ray Bruce, 53, of Atlanta died Sunday, April 5, 2009, surrounded by his family. He was born October 11, 1955 in DeKalb County. He was preceded in death by his wife Vicki Dilliard Bruce and his father James Raiford Bruce; his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. James Austin Bruce and Mr. and Mrs. George W. Sirmans.
He is survived by his son David Bruce, wife Crystal, granddaughter, Mallie Renee Bruce of Bethlehem, and son Todd Bruce of Kansas City, Missouri; mother Mary Bruce of Rutledge, sisters Rhonda and Drew Conrad of Winder and Kay and Sam Akin of Jackson, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He worked in the auto industry for years in many capacities, most recently with Daimler Chrysler until he became disable with Testicular (Seminoma) Cancer. He was a very loving and generous person, always ready to lend a hand or give words of wisdom. His great talents showed in his landscape, designing, gardening, interior decorating and carpentry work. He was a loving father, papaw, son and brother. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service was held April 8 at Tom Wages Funeral Home in Snellville.
