Paul Conklin Schulte Sr., 83, of Madison died May 6, 2009. He was born October 8, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri to Vincent and Katherine Conklin Schulte. Mr. Schulte was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in World War II. He was a retired home builder, a trade he learned from his father and taught to his sons. Mr. Schulte was married to Mary Fleeman Schulte who preceded him in death. The Schulte’s had lived in Morgan County since 1982, moving here from Gwinnett County.

Mr. Schulte is survived by his children, Linda Lee Mothershed, Mary Paula Potter, Suzanne Ruth Franklin, Joanna Frances Porter, Paul C. Schulte Jr. and David Joseph Schulte, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family received friends Friday at A. E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9 in the chapel. Interment followed at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge. Rev. Rick Smith officiated.
