Annette Pierce Bowen, 71, of Madison died May 8, 2009. She was born on July 16, 1937 in Fulton County to Edward and Omer Monk Pierce. In 1953 she married William R. Bowen. In 2001 the Bowen’s moved from Covington to Madison. She loved to cook and collect cook books. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bowen and a son, William Michael Bowen. She is survived by a daughter, Debra Bowen Martin of Madison and a son, James Bowen and Joy of Conyers. Other survivors include six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A graveside service was held May 11 at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.
