Horace Malcom, 97, of Rutledge died May 13, 2009. He was born in Walton County on September 5, 1911 to the late Oscar Malcom and the late Ella Hester Malcom.

He is survived by his wife, Lottie Hanson Malcom of Rutledge, son and daughter-in-law, Horace Jr. and Sherrie Malcom of Rutledge; daughter, Gloria Chandler of Good Hope, five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 15 at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Elder Willie Hatfield officiating. Interment was at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.
Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
