For nearly 10 years Cindy Wiemann has patrolled the back roads and alleys of Madison in her capacity as city animal control officer. She has seen the depravation of animals, the callousness, the abuse.
She has seen some horrible things.

Morgan County Library and Uncle Remus regional representatives received great news last week—the library expansion that has been sought for several years got the governor’s imprimateur in the state budget for fiscal year 2010.

A woman suspected of leading police on a wild high speed chase through Madison was arrested on Monday, January 12, after a deputy deployed “stop sticks” and shredded two truck tires.
