Morgan County commissioners are considering a change to local law that would allow the board to appoint an interim commissioner in the event of the death of that commissioner.

The Morgan County Board of Equalization gathered for a regular meeting last week, and members discussed the advisability of reminding citizens of the property owner’s right to file a return stating the value of their property.

Members of the Madison City Council held a lunchtime work session earlier this week and heard the report of traffic engineers on the “traffic triangle” between Highway 441 (Eatonton Highway), Highway 83 (South Main Street, going toward the hospital) and Ward Road.
