After 15 months in which the Morgan County Board of Commissioners spent some 11 months without a full complement of elected officials, members welcomed 2009 with a complete board and a heartfelt desire for less pain and turmoil in 2009.

It's a grim prognosis for the state's leading newspaper.
In an effort to reduce operating costs, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and parent company Cox Enterprises, has elected to cutback circulation and distribution to 22 counties (19 near-metro counties in Georgia), including Morgan.
