Pups poised for playoff action

As the 2008-2009 basketball season comes to a close, the Morgan County Middle School Bullpups find themselves in second place in the Piedmont Athletic Conference standings.
Coming off of a 53-37 loss to Greene County last Tuesday, the Pups responded the following Friday with a 46-18 blowout win over Carver Middle School.
JV Lady Dogs come up short against Eastside

The Morgan County High School jv Lady Dogs suffered a heartbreaking 39-38 defeat at the hands of region opponent Eastside High School last Friday.
Coming out cold, the Lady Dogs trailed for the entire first half, entering the locker room with an 11 point deficit.

For the second consecutive year, the Morgan County Middle School Matpups wrestled their way to the top of Piedmont Athletic Conference by winning the conference tournament last Saturday.

Much like the girls junior varsity game before it, the Morgan County High School junior varsity Bulldogs fell short against region opponent Hart County, losing 76-58.

The Morgan County Lady Dogs junior varsity basketball team suffered a 56-44 region defeat at the hands of the Lady Dogs from Hart County.
The loss was the second consecutive region defeat, moving the Lady Dogs to 2-3 on the season.
Lady Dogs outplayed by Hart County

Unlike their first meeting on December 12, the Hart County Bulldogs simply outplayed and shot the Morgan County High School Lady Dogs last Friday en-route to a 77-45 victory.
The loss moves the Lady Dogs to 1-3 in the Region 8AAA standings.
