East Coast a popular destination this past week

Dr. and Mrs. Kevin Kreutter and Noah, Mariah and Duncan of Plainsboro, New Jersey, Mr. and Mrs. Clay Bonnell and Margaret Ann of Bostwick and Ms. Dee Pederson and Calla of Madison joined Mrs. Dorothy Cabaniss for a week at Pawley’s Island, South Carolina.

 Frankie Cartwright Beers, a former resident of Madison, and her husband Jerry have moved to Rutledge from Florida.

Carol Cross is recuperating at home following back surgery at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Revival begins August 6, at 7:30 nightly

Saturday morning was very pleasant by noon it was hot again and Saturday night another thunder storm developed with much lightning and rain, which was much needed, God knows all we need before even asking and we thank God for His blessings.

Friday evening Dea. Derrick Worrell and family left for Ohio to attend the funeral of his wife’s uncle. We pray for them a safe trip going and coming back.

We thank God for this fifth Sunday, which we always have early service and Sunday school. Pastor T.

Farmers and their hay hurting for lack of rain

We want to wish John Milliken a happy birthday. He was 70. Gail and Ken Davis had all the family at their home at Newborn for the celebration on Saturday. Susan and Marlin Blackburn came home with John and spent the rest of the weekend.

For those of you that remember Beatrice Smith, she has been in Putnam County Hospital for observation. She is Rassey Smith’s sister. She grew up here and married Ed Smith who also was formerly from Buckhead.

Sunday morning a good attendance was present with several visitors. They are always a blessing to us when they come. Our prayer is they received a blessing and will come again. Our revival services of last week were outstanding with a different preacher taking the stand each night and with special singing. Leon Brownlee led off the meeting on Monday night followed by Paul Pittard, Derek Jenkins, Chris Yancey and the closing night was again led by Leon.
