MCHS Academic Bowl team takes second in state

The Morgan County High School Academic Bowl made its way into history by finishing second place in the State Championships Saturday January 24. Academic Bowl is a scholastic competition for high school students sponsored regionally by the Northeast Georgia Regional Educational Service Agency.
City council members approve comprehensive plan update

The Madison City Council unanimously approved a five-year update to the city’s 10-year comprehensive plan at their regular meeting on Monday, following a long discussion of the document at a work session last Friday.

Morgan County Planning Commission members unanimously recommended approval of a proposed text amendment to the town of Buckhead’s zoning ordinance that would install new guidelines for those developing residential areas in the city.
