Board of Commissioners consider added 50 cents 911 surcharge

Morgan County Commissioners will discuss at their work session later this month whether to approve a 50-cent surcharge on telephone bills for Emergency-911 services. The new charge could eventually help fund a new E-911 command center within the new jail building on Highway 83 in Madison.
   

Former fire chief pleads guilty to marijuana charge

Former Buckhead Volunteer Fire Chief Tom Prochnow pled guilty last Wednesday, October 26 to one count manufacture of marijuana and one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
