North Georgia Democrats to hold rally Sunday

Nearly all Democratic candidates for federal office are expected to celebrate at the "For The People Rally" in Gainesville on Sunday, September 21. The event, scheduled from 1 pm to 5 pm, is a long-standing tradition for North Georgia Democrats.
Concert pavilion construction to begin

Madison Downtown Development Association members have let the contract to construct the event pavilion at the city’s new town park, and work on that structure—to be built by Rendrag Construction—is expected to start within the coming weeks.
Flu shots available at MC Health Dept.

The Morgan County Health Department will begin administering flu shots on Monday, September 22. Flu shots cost $25 and are covered by Medicare and Medicaid. This year there are no restrictions or limitations on who can get a flu shot. Anyone who wants one is eligible. We will have a day dedicated to flu shots only in October.
Sustainability Expo slated for next Saturday

Rutledge council projects $432,000 budget

The City of Rutledge is projecting a zero fund balance for its fiscal year 2008 – 2009 general fund budget after showing a more than $110,000 fund balance from its 2007 – 2008 fiscal year budget.
