Anna Rebekah Howell and Ryan Erol Saltik
Submitted by editor on Thu, 08/26/2010 - 14:53.Anna Rebekah Howell and Ryan Erol Saltik were married on May 22, 2010 at five o'clock in the afternoon. Reverend MaCrae Olinger performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of family and friends. The music for the ceremony was performed by Mark Maxwell, guitarist, and Dr. Eunice Swain, cellist, both of Athens.
The ceremony took place in the yard of The Rock House in Buckhead under an oak tree. The service was enhanced by the passage of a train. The vows were performed under an arch covered with smilax and magnolia blossoms. the rose lined path was defined by large pots of boxwood and ivy. Reverend Olinger explained the significance of the setting to the guests as it was a favorite place of Rebekah's father who died when she was five.
The bride was given in marriage by her step-father, Dr. John Wade and escorted down the aisle by her brother, Kennon Howell. Her sister, Leigh Coberly, was her matron of honor, and the bridesmaids were Elise and Claire Coberly, both nieces of the bride, Monique Payne, sister of the groom and Linda Semerjian. Mr. Saltik's father, John, was his best man and groomsmen were Kennon Howell, David Coberly, brother-in-law of the bride, and Eric Long and Jason Choc, both friends of the groom. The bride and her attendants carried bouquets of the bride's favorite flowers that were created by Jen Newell of Madison
Mason-Reynolds Wedding
Submitted by editor on Thu, 08/26/2010 - 14:30.Sara Francis Mason and Mr. Michael Phillip Reynolds were married on July 2 at the Cal-Neva Resort, Crystal Bay, Nevada, in an outdoor ceremony among towering Ponderosa pines and ancient granite boulders overlooking Lake Tahoe and the surrounding snow-tipped mountains of the High Sierra.
The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mason Jr., of Madison, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Levingston Mason Sr., also of Madison, and the late Mrs. Beulah White Pegues of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and the late Mr. Thomas Jackson Clay Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana.
She is a graduate of Hampshire College with a BA in Cultural Studies and received her Masters and PhD of Sociology from the University of California Santa Barbara. She is presently an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Gainesville State College.
The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Reynolds of Marietta, is the grandson of Mrs. Marjorie Ware and the late Mr. Clyde Ware of Atlanta and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Reynolds also of Atlanta. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia with degrees in English and Journalism and works as a genius at the Apple Store at Lenox Square in Atlanta.
Tina Mason Seetoo, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. The junior bridesmaids were Rachel Ann Mason and Molly Katherine Mason, nieces of the bride.
The flower GRRRL was Morgan Elizabeth Mason, niece of the bride, and the flower girls were Sara Ella Seetoo, niece of the bride, and Molly Reynolds King, niece of the groom.
J.E. Fretwell served as best man and Adam Matthew King, nephew of the groom, was junior groomsman. Bryan Clay Mason, James Ross Mason and Henry Thomas Seetoo, nephews of the bride, served as ring bearers.
