James Edward Onica, 72, of Madison died December 21, 2008 in Cherokee County. He was born November 6, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan to John and Bernice Huff Onica. He worked for Ford Motor Company for many years. He and his wife Nell Smith Onica have lived in Madison for 21 years. He was a member of Cornerstone Christian Center.

Myrtice Harper, 88, of Lithonia died December 23, 2008. She was born in Morgan County in 1920 to the late Mel Hawkins and the late Leamon Studdard Hawkins. Her husband, the late James Hershel Harper and one grandson preceded her in death.
