On Dec. 10, Harold Brian O’Kelley, 58, Madison, was arrested and charged with DUI, failure to report striking a fixed object and striking an unattended vehicle. According to reports, O’Kelley allegedly struck a landscaping boulder at a North Main Street residence and then left his 2003 BMW at the scene of the accident. Reports state that a witness spoke with O’Kelley after the 4:18 p.m. incident. The witness then identified O’Kelley from his license photograph. According to reports, a couple attempted to purchase an advertised 2014 Look Vision 7’x12’ enclosed trailer from a woman on Craigslist. The couple, per the seller’s instructions, loaded two Go Bank cards with $500 each and sent the woman the information. On Dec. 2, a financial transaction card theft complaint was filed at Main Street Pantry, Main Street. According to reports, a woman reported that someone had used her debit card to purchase $33.24 worth of gas at the store. Reports state that the woman had used the card earlier at the P&J Mini Mart, East Washington Street and she could not remember if she forgot to take the card from the ATM machine at the store or if she dropped the card. On Nov. 25 Ismel Martinez Rufino, 24, Newborn was cited for prohibited waste. According to reports, a Morgan County deputy was called to the county dumpster facility on Doster Road with a complaint regarding roofing materials in the dumpster. Reports state that Rufino and his wife were stopped in Madison by a Madison Police Department officer and that the vehicle Rufino was driving was pulling a trailer loaded with roofing material. On Nov. 19 warrants for obstruction, driving while license suspended, open container and driving with no tag were issued against Reuben Gary Vandiver, 42, Madison. According to reports, a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy was observing traffic on North Main Street, Madison when a red Ford pickup with no license tag drove by the deputy. On Nov. 19 an aggravated assault complaint was filed at an East Jefferson Street residence. According to reports, a woman said after she denied her 15–year–old son’s request to use a phone to call his grandmother, the son allegedly grabbed a large kitchen knife and stabbed the kitchen wall several times before throwing the knife at the woman. According to reports, Reynolds allegedly struck a woman on the lip and face with both his head and fist.
