Sunday morning attendance was good and we also had visitors with us. We are so glad to have them and we pray they received a blessing while there in our midst. Each one is welcome to come any time we have service. The choir’s special was, “Won’t it be Wonderful There.” We welcomed Rev. Wayne Jones to our church where he brought the morning message from Isaiah 6: 1-10. The revelation of God is all about Him, opens our eyes, He has a plan for all of us. God reveals himself to every believer or person that is listening. We need to be willing to do what God tells us to do. God is present; He is a Holy God and a sovereign God. His holiness is to be respected. We need to respond, He expects us to obey Him. He doesn’t reveal when we want Him to but when it’s convenient to Him, He speaks when we are open and willing to listen, He tries to help us realize how sinful we are; if we could just see Jesus as He is. Have we seen sin in our life? Before we look for sin in others lives we’re all sinners in every sense, we need to pay attention to God who’s talking to us individually. God is almighty He is specific in cleansing of our guilt, convicts our sin and wants us to do the best of our ability for Him, God calls on us to serve Him, God calls on us to serve Him reveals himself to us, asks us to join Him, seek His face and direction every day. He calls us to be sincere, obedient, faithful, listen to God and complete the task by seeking God’s voice and saying yes to Him.

Sunday night at 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. we had Vacation Bible School with a good crowd present with a lot of excitement for God by the children, they are always excited.

Next Sunday, June 30 will be God and Country Day at Brownwood Baptist Church. After the morning service a covered dish meal will be held in the Family Life Center.

June items for Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes are hair bows, barrettes, ribbons, combs, brushes, travel size Q-tips and band aids.

Peggy Harper visited her sister Bonnie Johnson at Piedmont, Alabama recently.

Rachel and Zach Wood spent Tuesday with me.

Brandon and Gail Grubbs, Peggy Harper, Melissa LeClair and Geraldine Batchelor attended John Grubbs ROTC graduation at Mercer University in Macon last week.

Peggy Harper, Gail and Triston Grubbs visited Margie Ward Monday afternoon.

Thursday I went to Athens and spent the day with my sister Alice Cheatham at her home. Thanks to the many prayers that were prayed for her she’s some better enough to be home now with Home Health Care nurses and the therapy team coming to help her. God knows best and we have to trust Him. Thanks to all for your calls, concerns and most of all your prayers. God bless you all.

Since we didn’t get to have Father’s Day here on Father’s Day, because of my sister’s illness, we had it Sunday. Julie and Billy Phillips, Sonny, Mary, Rebekah, Rachel and Zach Wood all had dinner with Margie Ward.

Is This You!

Are you an active member?

The kind that would be missed

Or are you just content that

Your name is on the list?

Do you attend the meetings and mingle with the flock

Or do you stay at home And criticize and knock?

Do you take an active part

To help the work along

Or are you satisfied to be

That kind that just belongs?

Do you ever voluntarily help

At the guiding stick

Or leave the work to just a few

And talk about the clique?

Come out to meetings often

And help with hand and heart

Don’t just be a member

But take an active part.

Think this over, member

You know right from wrong

Are you an active member

Or do you just belong?
