Morgan County Grand Jury returns indictments

The Morgan County Grand Jury recently met and returned several criminal indictments to the Morgan County Superior Court for the June session. The following individuals were indicted:

Benjamin Clay Porter III, 42, Madison, three counts aggravated cruelty to animals and three counts cruelty to animals. According to an arrest warrant, Porter is charged with the death of three dogs found by Morgan County Animal Control on his former property on Enterprise Road on January 28, 2013.

Ronald Ricardo Richardson, 39, Clarkston, one count possession with intent to distribute marijuana, one count theft by receiving stolen property, one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, one count possession of marijuana, two counts speeding and one count passing in a no-passing zone. Richardson, court records state, was arrested on May 16, 2013 by Georgia State Patrol troopers. Warrants allege that Richardson had a stolen pistol on his possession as well as nine ounces of suspected marijuana.

Travis Core, no age, no address available, one count possession of marijuana. According to the indictment, Core on May 29, 2013 possessed more than an ounce of marijuana.

Decario Antwan McKinnnon, no age, no address available, one count possession of marijuana and one count tampering with evidence. The indictment alleges that on May 29, 2013 McKinnon possessed more than one ounce of marijuana and destroyed U.S. currency during his arrest.

Lamar Alexander George, 21, Rosedale, N.Y., nine counts forgery of a financial transaction card. According to warrants, George was arrested by Georgia State Patrol troopers on March 21, 2013 and possessed 10 financial transaction cards that he knew were forged.

David Casey Schroer, 32, Marietta, one count possession of methamphetamine, one count possession of Ocycodone, one count possession of heroin, one count possession of Clonazepam, one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. According to warrants, Schroer was arrested by Georgia State Patrol troopers on January 29, 2013 on Interstate 20 and allegedly possessed the narcotics listed.

Kendrick Mandrell Hall, 35, Madison, one count criminal attempt to commit armed robbery, two counts aggravated assault, one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. According to arrest warrants, Hall allegedly attempted to rob a man who was sitting in his vehicle on Burney Street on October 1, 2012. Warrants state that during the unsuccessful robbery attempt, he allegedly struck the victim in the head with the handgun before fleeing.

Kilmer Bostick, 30, Snellville, one count forgery in the first degree, one count forgery in the second degree. According to warrants, Bostick was arrested by Madison Police Department officers on February 26, 2013 after he allegedly attempted to pass three fake counterfeit $100 bills at Walmart.

Jeffery Riley, 46, Madison one count aggravated assault. According to arrest warrants, Riley was arrested by Madison Police Department officers on April 12, 2013 after he allegedly threatened a man with a knife.

Robert Andrew Craig Hammet, 19, Newnan, one count burglary in the first degree. According to arrest warrants, Hammet was arrested by Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputies after he allegedly took two guitars from a Blue Springs Court, Buckhead, residence.

Bradlee Kennneth Rickett, 21, one count burglary in the first degree. According to arrest warrants, Hammet was arrested by Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputies after he allegedly took two guitars from a Blue Springs Court, Buckhead, residence.

Troy L. Rivers, 40, Madison, one count rape, one count aggravated sexual battery, five counts child molestation and one count obstructing a person from making a 911 call. According to court documents, Rivers sometime between January 1, 2013 and March 4, 2013, allegedly raped a minor child, sexually attacked the child and molested the child. Warrants state that on March 3, 2013 the child’s mother allegedly observed Rivers attempting to molest the child and attempted to make a 911 emergency call.

Cody Andrew Kindle, 25, Social Circle, one count burglary in the first degree, two counts theft by taking, one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. According to arrest warrants, Kindle was arrested by Morgan County Sheriff’s Office investigators after he allegedly entered an Aqua Road residence and took 13 firearms and jewelry worth more than $6,000.

James Darrell Mullinax, no age, no address available, one count burglary. According to the indictment, Mullinax allegedly entered a storage unit on Dixie Highway without authority of the owner.

Candace Lynn Walters, 20, Acworth, 225 counts financial transaction card fraud. According to arrest warrants and indictments, Walters, from December 28, 2010 until April 11, 2012, allegedly used a man’s Bank of America debit card to make more than 200 unauthorized transactions totaling thousands of dollars. The indictment also alleges that on January 17, 2012 she also wrote a fraudulent check to Ingles for $305.84 on the man’s account. The man, arrest warrants state, was a nursing care patient when the alleged thefts occurred.

Charles Ray Walters, 20, Madison, 225 counts financial card fraud, one count forgery in the first degree. According to arrest warrants and indictments, Walters, from December 28, 2010 until April 11, 2012, allegedly used a man’s Bank of America debit card to make more than 200 unauthorized transactions totaling thousands of dollars. The indictment also alleges that on January 17, 2012 he also wrote a fraudulent check to Ingles for $305.84 on the man’s account. Brandon James Wilkes, 31, Washington, one count burglary in the first degree. According to arrest warrants, Wilkes allegedly on August 24, 2012 entered a Fieldcrest Lane residence and removed $30 from a Mason jar and a ziplock bag that contained numerous prescription drugs.

Kenneth Rush, no age, no address available, one count theft by taking. An indictment alleges that Rush took two wooden marble top tables, a lamp and a dirt bike from a man.

Jessica Sprayberry, 25, Covington, one count theft by taking. An arrest warrant alleges that on September 7, 2012 Sprayberry and Rush took two wooden marble top tables a lamp and a dirt bike after they had spent the night with a Rutledge man.

Larry Mapp, 28, Athens, one count theft by taking. According to an arrest warrant, Mapp was charged on April 11, 2013 after he allegedly took a 1986 El Camino from a Price Mill Road, Bostwick residence.

Meagan Gibbs, 18, Mansfield, one count financial transaction card theft. According to an arrest warrant, Gibbs was arrested on March 13, 2013 by Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputies after she allegedly picked up a Bank of America credit card that belonged to a man and used the card to purchase items totaling $588.94.

Summer Reed, 18, Auburn, four counts theft by taking. According to an indictment, Reed allegedly on four occasions took money belonging to Providence Community Corrections. The thefts, an indictment alleges, took place between August 31, 2010 and August 31, 2012.

Samuel Wesley Morgan, Jr. no age available, Madison, three counts child molestation. According to indictments, Morgan allegedly on three occasions sexually molested a girl under 16-years-of age.

David Nelson Hutchinson, 22, Eatonton, one count burglary in the second degree, one count theft by taking. According to arrest warrants, Hutchinson allegedly took a steel door valued at $200 from a Parks Mill Road, Buckhead residence and took various vehicles parts, tools and vehicle accessories from a Seven Islands Road, Buckhead residence in February, 2013.

Cacedra Yvette Robertson, 41, Bostwick, one count escape. According to an arrest warrant, Robertson was charged after she allegedly refused to turn herself in to the Morgan County Detention Center by November 30, 2012 on forgery, theft by deception and financial transaction card fraud charges.

Nicholas Lavial Dumas, 39, Madison, three counts child molestation. According to arrest warrants, Dumas was arrested on November 19, 2012 after he allegedly, on three occasions, sexually molested a girl under 16-years-of-age.

Letichia Geneva Sease, 42, Covington, one count forgery in the first degree. According to an arrest warrant, Sease was arrested on May 19, 2012 after she allegedly attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at the Rite Aid drug store.

David Gregory Moss, 47, Bishop, four counts family violence. According to the indictment, Moss allegedly choked a woman, beat her with his fists and a broomstick and bit the woman.

Shaundra Leighanne Hughes, 19, Covington, one count aggravated assault, three counts cruelty toward children. According to arrest warrants, Hughes allegedly on November 22, 2013 stabbed a woman on the palm of her left hand in front of three juvenile children.

Eric Joshua Hodges, 26, Sandesville, two counts obstruction of an officer, one count theft by shoplifting, one count financial transaction card fraud. According to arrest warrants, Hodges allegedly ran from officers after he had attempted to purchase Walmart gift cards with a fraudulent credit card.

Morton Williams, IV, 22, Madison, one count possession with intent to distribute marijuana, one count possession with intent to distribute marijuana in a drug-free commercial zone, one count possession of a drug related object, one count seat belt violation, one count driving without a license. According to arrest warrants, Williams was arrested by Madison Police Department officers on March 15, 2013 during a traffic stop. Consequent to the stop officers seized 6.5 ounces of suspected marijuana.

Betty Andrews Williams, 55, Madison, one count aggravated assault, one count terroristic threats and acts. According to arrest warrants, Williams was arrested by Madison Police Department officers on March 3, 2013 after she allegedly argued with a woman and then pulled a knife and threatened to cut everyone present.
