Mary Lou Davis Lang, 72 of Madison, formerly of Buford and Fitzgerald, passed away July 11, 2013 after a long and valiant fight with breast cancer. She was born in Norcross and was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Nellie Davis and brothers Gene Davis and Tony Wood.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Godfrey John Lang of Madison and her children Jeff and Cindy (Lang) South of Madison; John and Angie (Bullard) Lang of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Chris and Rita (Brannen) Lang of Sugar Hill and Clint Lang of Monroe; her grandchildren Daniel and Lindsey South of Monroe, Tyler South of Monroe, Jonathan and Jean Lang and Michael Lang, all of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Ryan Lang and Ashlee Lang of Auburn and Savannah Lang of Sugar Hill. She was blessed to be survived by her great grandchildren Juliana Lang of Simpsonville, South Carolina and London and Wyatt South of Monroe; she is survived by her sister Betty Wood of Cumming, brother and sister-in-law Danny and Robin Wood of Cumming and many nieces, nephews and other cherished family members.
Mrs. Lang was retired from Rich’s at Gwinnett Place Mall, Duluth.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 14 at Madison First United Methodist Church with good fellowship following the service.
