It seems that news has all but dried up. I waited until afternoon to call some people. Then there was a thunderstorm. So I could not call. So here’s what little that I have.

The Buckhead Baptist Church is in preparation for their revival and homecoming. Homecoming will be September 8 with revival being September 9, 10 and 11. They anticipate having a great crowd that comes each year to come again. As a reminder why not go ahead and mark those dates on your calendar now. They will be most happy to welcome you and to have you to meet their new pastor.

The Lake Oconee Baptist Chapel will have their monthly singing August 28. The fellowship lunch and business meeting will be August 18.

I would like to wish a special happy birthday to my husband Macon Moore Jr. He was born on August 15.

Christie White made a business trip to San Francisco.

Happy birthday to my friend Felicia!

There were three big bulls that were loose on Shake Rag Road that were running in peoples’ gardens, going through people’s yards and scaring some small children half to death. This was the report that I had early on Monday. I have no idea what became of them later.

Don’t forget the wrestling on the second Saturday night at the Buckhead Fire Station. Doors open at 5 p.m. It starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children. Throw yourself in there in plenty of time to get a ringside seat if you want one. I have seen it where people barely got in with enough change. So come prepared!

When next week comes I hope to have something written in advance. This week I do not have anything written. Therefore, since it is now night I will send this on in. I hope that each of you will have a get week.
