We had a wonderful day of Worship at Centennial Baptist Church this past Sunday. I am so blessed to serve such a wonderful church. Part of the worship service Sunday was a song that I sang with the choir entitled “I’ve got Joy.” I gave testimony that so many times I get up on Sunday morning to lead our church in worship and many of the people looking back at me look like they have lost their joy. We should come into church realizing what Jesus Christ did for us on Calvary. He paid the price for our sin! If we have accepted Him as our Savior we are redeemed, we are set free. We should be ready for worship, excited about our salvation and the Joy of the Lord should be beaming from our face. I want to share with you some of the lyrics to “I’ve got Joy” words and music by Daryl Williams, John Starnes and Niles Borop.

Maybe you can tell it by the smile on my face, I’ve got Joy!

It’s a smile that comes from heaven that the world cannot erase, I’ve got Joy!

When I rise in the morning, see the day God has made;

Sunshine or stormin’ you’ll still hear me say, I’ve got Joy!

With troubles all around me I can sing “Amazing Grace!” I’ve got Joy!

Problems cannot stop me, I’m gonna win this race, I’ve got Joy!

He’s strength to my spirit, provider and friend;

I can’t help but shout it and say it again, I’ve got Joy!

Here’s my favorite part!

This joy is not dependent on what I feel or see.

No matter what the struggle, I still have victory!

There’s joy for my journey no man can take away!

The joy of the Lord is my strength today!

Jesus is the solid rock I’m standing on today, I’ve got Joy!

He has taken all my burdens and He’s washed my sins away, I’ve got Joy!

When I rise in the morning, see the day God has made;

Sunshine or stormin’ you’ll still hear me say, I’ve got Joy!

“My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed.” Psalm 71:23

Let your face shine with the Joy of your salvation. See you at church Sunday.
