The Morgan County High School (MCHS) JV Bulldogs lost to the North Oconee Titans 0-42 last Thursday, Oct. 3 at the North Oconee High School. Today, the JV Dogs face the Greene County Tigers for the final JV season home game.
Several Morgan County JV starters have been injured recently, which led to more players getting playing time during the North Oconee game.
“We have been bit heavily by the injury bug at both the varsity and JV levels,” said Coach Todd Peaster. “This provided an opportunity for a lot of second and third string players to play this week. Many of our guys got significant game experience for the first time and our team fought very hard as a whole.”
Coach Peaster hopes that the team will be healthier and able to perform at the top of its game against Greene County. “We look forward to getting some of our injured players back and healthy next week as we go against Greene County, he said.
After the game today against Greene County, the JV Dogs have one more season game. On Oct 17, the JV will take on East Jackson on the road for the final game of the season.
