MCHS Cheerleading Team at Oconee County High School

By Nick Nunn staff writer The Morgan County High School (MCHS) competition cheerleading team took second place at Oconee County High School’s cheerleading competition last Saturday, Nov. 2. The MCHS cheerleading team is gearing up for their region meet, which is set to take place this Saturday, Nov. 9, at Putnam County High School.

“It was a great competition,” said MCHS Cheerleading Coach Denise Frost about the Oconee County competition. “We still have room to improve our score and we will be working hard to do that this week as we prepare for region competition.” “We made some changes this past week that we think helped us raise our overall scores. We are optimistic heading into the region competition.”

The MCHS cheerleading team is scheduled to perform their routine at the region meet this Saturday at approximately 10:15 a.m. Coaches Denise Frost and Christen Seabolt welcome “any and all” to come out to Putnam County High School and support the Morgan County cheerleading program. Admission is $7.
